Electrical Resistivity

Pyramid offers Multi-Electrode Electrical Resistivity Tomography services.

Multi-Electrode Electrical Resistivity | MER |

Pyramid Environmental uses Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) as a surface geophysical tool to provide information to our clients regarding geologic site conditions, hydrogeologic characteristics, and conductivity variability associated with environmental concerns. We use the Advanced Geosciences Supersting R8 multi-electrode resistivity system in our electrical surveys. This system allows for rapid analysis of site conditions at significant depths below the ground surface, dependent on site access, and is not affected by the depth limitations of methods such as GPR that cannot penetrate highly conductive strata such as clay.

Pyramid staff have used Multi-Electrode Electrical Resistivity (MER) for multiple applications, including identifying subsurface contaminant plumes, general geologic mapping, locating flow pathways, fractures, and porous zones in subsurface stratigraphy/lithology, geotechnical investigations, and aquifer delineation/water quality analyses.
