Trucking Companies

Emergency ResponsePyramid provides trucking companies with Emergency Response Services.  When a spill of hazardous materials occurs, we quickly evaluate the situation and respond appropriately.

For example, Pyramid responded to a tanker spill of toluene/lacoline/mineral spirits in the median of Interstate 40 Business.  The tanker spilled 2,500 gallons between 4 lanes of interstate traffic.  This specific Emergency Response job required shifting the traffic pattern to allow the cleanup work to proceed as well as needing to be completed quickly to restore normal traffic patterns and prevent accidents.  To ensure no contamination of soil, Pyramid set up an underflow dam to prevent migration of the distillates, screened the soils and provided laboratory analyses.  Within two days, the final sampling was completed, the project was backfilled and the guard rails were put back up.  Also, a permanent underflow dam was built to retain any further contaminants.  All the work was approved without comment and the incident was closed with no safety incidents occurring during the project.
